Covenant reaches out to the Hispanic community in the following ways.
Alianza Worship Services are in Spanish and are led by Pastor Jacinto Hernandez. Services are held Sundays at 11:15 a.m. upstairs in the Alianza Worship Room.
Adult Sunday School Class in Spanish (Hispanic children attend the English Sunday School classes.)
After-School Program is a community outreach to the Hispanic children living in the neighborhood around our church building. Program includes Bible club, academic help, recreation, and snacks.
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered twice weekly for Hispanic adults in beginner and intermediate levels.
Camp Victory is a weekend camp experience offered for the Hispanic children involved in Alianza, the After School Program, and their friends.
Hispanic Community Assistance is a program where volunteers actively serve the Hispanic community through providing transportation, translation and interpretation, childcare, and acting as liaisons with schools, doctor’s offices, etc.
Adult Bible Studies are offered for men and women once a week in Spanish. Bilingual volunteers help with teaching and fellowship; non-Spanish speaking volunteers help with childcare.
