Children's Ministries assisting parents to nurture in children a love of Jesus Christ, a deep reliance on the gospel of grace, and a life of joyful worship and witness
Recognizing that the family is the first place of training up the next generation, we desire to come alongside the family, as part of the bigger family of God to love, train, and encourage all of our kids that they might call on the Lord for salvation and then become fishers of men.
Each area of the Children's Ministries has a particular purpose with unique goals--the overall goal being to glorify God in worship, mission, and discipleship. To that end, we have developed the structures that are in place to train children in worship (Children's Church--Alianza and Covenant), to disciple them in the Word (Sunday School and After School Program), to help them grow in their relationships within the family of God (Nursery, Kids' Connection, and other special events), to teach them to see that they are part of Kingdom advancement (Vacation Bible School, After School Program, and mission projects), and to ensure the inclusion of children of all ability levels (Through the Roof, Covenant's ministry to children with disabilities).

Children's Church is a ministry structure where children ages 3-5 years (through Kindergarten) can come together to learn about worship in a way that mirrors the bigger family worship service but at their own developmental level.
During the worship services each Sunday (8:30 a.m. and 11 :15 a.m.), children gather together to worship in song, prayer, Scripture memory, and lessons from the Word of God.
The volunteers guiding the children through the activities are committed to discipling them to become joyful worshipers of our great and glorious God.
We encourage families to worship together. Our goal is to see children "graduate" from Children's Church and increase their participation in the bigger worship service.

Child Protection Policies and Procedures
We at Covenant have been called to care for our children and to honor the name of Christ. To this end, these policies have been developed to ensure a safe, loving environment where the Lord Jesus Christ is glorified and enjoyed by all His people. While we rely ultimately on the sovereign protection of our Lord, we also recognize that He has called us to exercise wisdom and prudence in our care for His children. It is our privilege to serve our King in this way.
Child protection policies apply to any activity that is formally sponsored by Covenant in which adults and youth are working directly with children ages newborn through 18. This includes Nursery, Children's Church, Sunday School, Youth Group, Vacation Bible School, After School Program, and any other events in which child care and activities for children are provided by the church.

Nursery provides a warm, safe, friendly environment where the love of Christ is demonstrated and parents feel comfortable leaving their children while they're in worship.
Four nurseries are offered: Lambs (birth - 12 months), Bunnies (10-20 months), Lion Cubs (18-26 months), and Pandas (24-36 months until the transition class begins, usually in early January). All four nurseries are available during both worship services and Sunday School.
Children are signed in and provided with an ID tag. The parents also receive an ID tag which must be turned in when picking up their child. All nursery volunteers are part of the family of God and have been approved through a screening process.

Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men." Matt. 4:19
Sunday School exists to instruct our children in ways that would encourage them to know and love the Word of God, understand how it applies to their lives, and provide them with a solid Christian worldview.
This is done in the context of strong relationships between students and teachers and among the students themselves that they would all have the common goal of glorifying God in worship, mission, and discipleship. As they each are growing in their own relationships with the Lord, each of our volunteers is committed to aiding our children live out lives that are wholly devoted to Christ.
Covenant's Sunday School ministry serves 3-year-olds through 12th grade during the Sunday School hour (10:00 -11:00 a.m.) assisting parents to train up the next generation to put their hope and trust in our glorious God.
