An oil lamp was selected by the PCA for the logo because of its rich imagery. In order for a kerosene lamp to give light, it must be filled with oil. The believer's life must be filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit. The wick must ret continually in the oil. We must rest in Christ and draw life and spiritual strength from His Holy Spirit. The wick must be regulated and trimmed regularly. Our lives must be daily regulated and trimmed in obedience to God's Word. The lamp chimney must be kept clean and clear. Our light shines to the world as we repent of sin and live in whole-hearted obedience to our Savor.
The WIC Ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church
WIC seeks to glorify God by strengthening our personal walks with Christ and by building relationships within the body of our women through Bible study, prayer and fellowship, enabling us to serve our Lord in the places and relationships where He has placed us.
By encouraging and equipping women to know Christ more deeply, to mentor other women, and to share our gifts for the mutual good, the WIC Ministryserves primarily the women of Covenant, but the effects are far-reaching. Husbands and children, co-workers and
neighbors also are ministered to, and God is ultimately glorified. With our Lord’s guidance, we strive to filter allwe do through our Purpose Statement. We want to learn to live biblically as women, no matter what our stage or status in life, and to influence others for Christ
We invite you to contact one of us if you have questions or would like to become more involved. Co-coordinator: Krista Hogan

Purpose To help women of the church see themselves as God's arms of mercy, salvation and love, and to see this purpose fulfilled as God leads them to reach out and serve those around them.
Assisting and Refreshing our Missionary Sisters (ARMS) ARMS
gives encouragement and tangible services to missionary
women and their families as they prepare for, serve on, and
return from the mission field. One service of ARMS is “Christmas
in July,” an annual
gathering of Christmas gifts from our congregation, which
are shipped as an encouragement to our missionaries abroad.
Facilitator: Dawn Frederick
Adventures in Mothering (AIM) is a resource of information on mommyhood and a wonderful network for building relationships with other moms to glorify Christ in our lives, homes, and community. The focus of AIM is mothers of young children, but we welcome ALL mothers to come and join us for a time of encouragement, refreshment and fellowship.
Facilitators: Rita Dunaway and Karie Wilburn

Women's Bible Studies facilitated by Janice Williamson Women meet regularly to study God’s Word for personal growth and fellowship.
- 2 Peter Study - Join other women for an eight-week Bible study on 2 Peter, beginning Mon., Feb. 28-April 18, from 7:00-8:30 PM in the church kitchen. As the shepherd of Christ's "sheep," Peter seeks to stimulate Christian growth, combat false teaching, and encourage watchfulness in view of the Lord's certain return. How timely these truths are in today's world! With only about one hour per week of personal study, the study will be inductive with careful observation of the Scriptures followed by interpretation and application--providing further in-depth understanding of 2 Peter, Pastor Ken's current series. Email Barbara Broome for more information. Cost for the materials is $15.
- The Prodigal God: Recovering the Heart of the Christian Faith--In this six-week study, using one of the best known Christian parables, Pastor Tim Keller reveals an unexpected message of hope and salvation challenging Christians in a whole new way. Join other women on Friday mornings, April 8-May 20 (skipping April 22), from 9:30-11:00 AM in Annex 6; homework consists of weekly reading. Cost of the book is $11, collected at the first class. Register by Sun., April. 3, by going to the online church calendar and click on the April 8 event or contact Deborah Ream at ddream1@comcast.net. Childcare will be available, if needed; childcare registration required by April 3 by contacting Janice at 435-1780.
