What is your service like?

We don't have a fixed order or liturgy, but generally our services include a call to worship, prayer, musical praise time, reading of scriptures, and corporate confessions. We believe that the preaching of God's Word is central to all that we do, making the sermon an important part of every service.

Our goal in worship is to engage both our hearts and minds with the intent of focusing heart-felt adoration toward our Lord. Musically we have a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship, as well as traditional hymn texts set to contemporary music. We use piano, guitar, and percussion and usually try to include other instruments such as flute, electric bass, and violin.

What do children and young families do during worship services?

We believe that children and their families are a vital part of our community and we are committed to serving and loving them throughout their whole lifetime.  To this end, we have a number of programs for children to help them engage worship at their appropriate age level.  Click here for a map of our building.

  • Nursery is available during the worship services (8:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.) and study fellowship hour (10:00 a.m.). Infant and toddler nurseries are located in the west wing of the lower level of the of the main church building.
  • Children's Church meets during the sermon portion of both worship services (8:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.).  Children’s Church is a worship service designed for children ages three through kindergarten.   Parents may take their children to the classrooms on the lower level of the Children’s Wing when children are dismissed from the sanctuary before the sermon.  They may be picked up in their classrooms at the end of the service.
  • An Infant Room is available in the nursery wing for nursing moms.  There are rockers and the room provides privacy yet allows you to see into the sanctuary and hear the worship service.

How do I get involved?

Covenant is an active church with many different ways to servce and be involved.  The Welcome to Covenant Class is a great entry point and a way to get an overview of the church and our various ministries.  If there is a particular ministry in which you'd like to become involved, contact either the church office or the ministry leader.

How do I become a member?

Covenant values the importance of church membership.  A requirement for membership is taking the Welcome to Covenant Class which is offered in the fall and the spring.  An interview with a few of the church officers will follow the completion of the class if you desire to join the church.
