John has been the Youth Pastor since the end of 2015. Prior to joining the staff at Covenant John was providing national leadership for Lifelines, an outdoor campus ministry with Cru that he and his wife, Kelly, helped start in 2003. They both graduated from Virginia Tech, got married and started life together doing college campus ministry. What was meant to be a short term venture lasted 15 years and allowed them to serve at Virginia Tech, University of Maine, UVA, and JMU.
John and Kelly have two daughters, Elizabeth and Rachel.
